Romans 7:6 “Delivered from the Law”
“But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit an not in the oldness of the letter.”
Having been in Christ through faith (salvation) and identified with Christ through baptism, Paul now speaks of the New Covenant – an entirely different way of living in the newness of the Spirit. We are to walk in the Spirit, respond to the Spirit, obeying, yielding and asking for direction in our lives – throwing off the yoke of legalism (the law).
