Stand Strong

Daniel 11:32b

“but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.”

The desecration of the temple, (in 170 B.C.), so incensed the people (the Jews), that Judas Maccabaeus gathered together a group of zealots and began to attack the Syrians. After 5 years, the Maccabaeus overthrew the Syrians and threw them out of Jerusalem. Eventually, the Jews retook the temple and purified it. Today the “Feast of Dedication or Hanukkah” in the Jewish calendar, celebrates the retaking and rededicating the temple unto God.

No matter how big an enemy might be or how unreasonable the odds might seem, the people who truly know their God shall stand strong and perform great exploits.

The Truth

“If God is for us, who can stand against us.” (Romans 8:31)
