“He who covers a transgression seeks love, but he who repeats a matter separates friends.” (v.9)
When a brother/sister confess a struggle (sin) in their life, and in confidence desires prayerful support, in love we do so. And in love we keep that confidence to ourselves so as not to cause gossip with others or effect the friendship of the confidant.
Therefore, stand in love with a struggling brother or sister, and do not repeat their struggle to others.
The Truth: “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.” (1 Peter 4:8)
