Malachi 3:1
“Behold, I will send my messenger and he will prepare the way before Me.”
Therefore, I (God) will send My messenger (John The Baptist) and he will prepare the way by preaching repentance, by baptizing and by calling them to believe on the Messiah (Jesus).
John the Baptist was God’s messenger, and had his commission from heaven and not of men (Matt. 21:25-26), being sent by the same divine authority by which the prophets were sent, and for the same purposes, namely, to call men to repentance and reformation.
The message is the same today, repent, change and be saved.
The Truth
This is the one about whom it is written: "'I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.” (Luke 7:27)
