God's Covenant To Noah

Genesis 9:11

“And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.”

To give Noah and his sons a firm assurance of the continuance of the human race, God established a covenant with them and their descendants, and to confirm this covenant, He set a visible sign for all generations, His rainbow (Genesis 9:14). This covenant of God keeps the sea and clouds in their decreed places, and sets boundaries on them (Job 38:10-11).

For if the sea should flow for a few days (as it does twice every day for a few hours) what desolations would it make! However God said, “Thus far you shall come, but no farther; and here shall your proud waves stop.” (Job 38:11)

The Truth

“For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.” (1 Colossians 1:16-17)
