Revelation 1:19
“Therefore write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after these things.”
Here Jesus Christ is telling the Apostle John to record for posterity; 1) that which he saw, his vision (v.10-18), 2) the things that are, the current state of the (7) churches and 3) that which is to come, from then unto the end of the world.
This scripture also gives to us an overview of the book itself; section 1 (chapter 1) presents Him (Jesus Christ) whom John has seen, section 2 (chapters 2-3) addresses the things that are, the state of the 7 churches and finally, section 3 (chapters 4-22) the things yet to come.
This book is like no other in scripture and promises a blessing on those who read it or hear it. Join me through Revelation and be blessed one chapter at a time.
