1 Corinthians 2:9
But it is written, “eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
Paul is not only referring to heaven here but (I believe) he is saying even in this life, we as believers see things others don’t and know things others can’t, because the Holy Spirit ministers to our spirits concerning spiritual truth.
Therefore, we look at the world around us through a totally different lens, while waiting for our Lords return. When going through difficult seasons we trust in His divine guidance and protection in our daily lives. When hearing about events around the world (and especially the middle east) that turn toward war and destruction, we are not surprised for we know our Bible prophesy.
Although the spiritual man is able to put everything into perspective and have a sense of peace in difficult times, the worldly man can’t figure him out. It is the Spirit of God only that can reveal the things of God (1 Corinthians 2:11) therefore, the natural man cannot know them. (1 Corinthians 2:14)
As Christians, (those who love God) not only have we been given this heavenly helper while here on earth but, God has prepared even more than can be imagined for us in heaven.
The Truth
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” (John 14:1-3)
