Exodus 25:8-9
“Let them construct a sanctuary for Me, that I may dwell among them. According to all I am going to show you, as the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furniture, just so you shall construct it.”
Here God tells Moses to construct Him a tabernacle. He later gives Moses explicit instructions, a plan, a design, a pattern, for the construction of it and each object to be found within - and Moses was to follow that plan.
The application for us is when God calls you, follow the pattern of His call. If you’re a teacher, then teach. If you’re a helper, then help. We are simply what He has called us to be. Don’t try to do what someone else should be doing. Just follow His pattern, pray for help when needed and you will find His rest.
